Daniel's 9-12-01 Letter

Daniel wrote this letter on 9-12-01, the day after the 9-11 attacks. He sealed the letter in an envelope and addressed it: "To My Grandchildren/Children." He placed it in his top dresser drawer. Two years and eight months later, Daniel gave his life in service to his country. About two months after Daniel's death, his brother, David, found Daniel's letter of 9-12-01--still sealed--in that top dresser drawer. As you read Daniel's letter, keep in mind that he was 16-1/2 years old when he wrote it!
